First we do an on location maternity session when you are approx 30-35 weeks pregnant.

FAQ
The ideal time is between 7–14 days new, when bub is typically sleepier and more settled, making it easier to gently pose and capture those beautiful close ups and sleepy moments. After this window, babies can become more alert and less likely to settle, though I happily photograph newborns up to 8–12 weeks old too. Each stage is special in its own way.
When is the best time to photograph my newborn?
Sometimes babies like to arrive on there own schedule and thats okay - your booking is completely flexible. I only take on a limited number of newborns each month to allow room for early or late arrivals. Once your baby is here, just send me a message and we’ll confirm your session date based on how you’re both feeling.
What happens if my baby arrives earlier/later?
That’s totally okay! Every baby is different, and I work gently with their natural rhythm. Whether your little one is wide awake or sound asleep, I’ll follow their lead and capture beautiful, relaxed images either way. Some of my favourite photos are taken with eyes wide open!
What if my baby won't sleep during the session?
I’ve got you covered! You’ll have full access to my curated client wardrobe with soft, neutral pieces for mums, and baby. These tones photograph beautifully and help keep the focus on connection. I’ll also send you a prep guide with styling tips to help you feel confident and relaxed.
What should we wear for our newborn session?
Feeding during the session is completely expected and absolutely welcome. I allow plenty of time for breaks, whether you’re breastfeeding or bottle feeding, and those quiet moments often become some of the most beautiful, natural images. Your baby sets the pace - we follow their lead.
What if my baby needs to feed during the session?
Babies have big feelings, and it’s all part of the process. I take a gentle, baby-led approach with lots of time built in for feeding, cuddles, and settling. There’s no rush, and nothing your baby does will ever stress me out. I’ve seen it all, and I’ll guide you through every moment with care and patience.
